The Jesse Jane Experiment: Update

The Jesse Jane Experiment: Update
Out of curiosity I decided to try this Jesse Jane Experiment to see if adding certain tags and categories would increase hits to a blog, web site or forum. In the case of my wordpress blog, the Jesse Jane Experiment is working. This chart (above) shows the recent weeks activity of readers to my blog site. I posted the Jesse Jane Experiment on the 15th a little later in the evening. Even that night I saw a bump in over all numbers. I had posted very little the week before (my July 4th blog) and was on a low average. As you can see i went from an average following of 4 a day to 12 a day in just one week.
I thought this was all short lived because the next week, I had slipped back to 7. Then something happened. I started to research where I was getting my hits from as far as search engines and noticed that slowly, but surely, my blog was being listed higher and higher on search engine pages. Twitter and Facebook also was supplying my with search results to. Oddly, it's not just the Jesse Jane post that is being searched and clicked on. The TRX post of KTRX radio, the Jesse May Suicide interview and The Pacific posts also saw an increase of readership.
The latter can be attributed mainly to the original searches of Jesse Jane and then a perusal of the rest of the site. If you look on the chart I gained over a 1000% increase in traffic due to the Experiment. The first increase was slight and the second was the boom. I'm diggin it. By the way, the more you post on wordpress the more your regulars check back every day so an increase of 100% to 150% is normal and drop offs are expected if you don't write.
The combination of posting two times a week and creative tagging will get you extra searches, reads and eventually, followers.
