By means of his lectures, performance art and award-winning blog, Joel has earned international praise for his non-stuffy, yet erudite approach to Hitchcock’s films. A regular contributor to McSweeneys.net, his wit and style shines through on his blog as well. In 2009, Joel was twice invited to appear on stage at the Broadway production of “Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps, sharing his expertise with audiences from all over the world. He is currently running a preview of his hilarious one-and-a-half man show Alfred Hitchcock Geek at Portland Center Stage, in Portland, Oregon.
